Children

Children

Play is the language of children. It can often be difficult for children to express big feelings using only words. Therefore, our therapeutic approach often includes play and art which allow children to process feelings in a non-threatening way.

We work with parents to develop and implement behavior strategies that help calm the family environment. Play and art therapy is often utilized with younger clients as a way of processing “big” feelings in a kid-friendly and non-scary way.

Adolescents

For adolescents, we use a variety of evidence-based techniques, all designed to suit the individual needs of the client. Adolescence can be a difficult transitional period. We aim to help adolescents and parents adjust to the ever-changing family dynamics.

We believe that healing comes by not only addressing the client, but also the client’s environment. For that reason, we seek to include parents and caregivers in therapy as often as necessary.

Adults

Growth should not end because we have entered adulthood! Oftentimes, adults can become stuck in difficult moments in their lives and it is my hope to help you maneuver through those moments.  We use a variety of evidence-based techniques with adult clients. If it is the desire of the individual, we welcome the opportunity to invite other individuals in the session.

Faith-Based Interventions

We enjoy working clients of all backgrounds and will respect your beliefs without judgment. We will gladly utilize Christian faith-based interventions at the request of  the client.

Group

Receiving therapy in the group setting normalizes difficult feelings and decreases feelings of isolation. It fosters connection with a those who have similar experiences and prompts participants to learn new strategies for coping with stress and navigating challenges.
